As Editor-in-Chief I am also the webmaster for BHSOrator.com. The website was developed in 2018 prior to my time at Bryan. 

Prior to this school year, the online website was more of an afterthought. It was a place to start archiving our print stories. This changed this year since for the time being The Orator staff went to exclusively online content we had a little more freedom to cover timely stories as well as focus on multimedia by requiring each story to come with some sort of graphic. 

In addition to overseeing the production of the newspaper, I also manage our journalism department's social media pages. 

We had an established Facebook and Twitter page running for a few years and I continued to run those pages posting when we uploaded stories and when our staffers won awards. The staff has also used social media for announcements from the Journalism department such as deadlines to purchase senior ads and price increases to preorder a yearbook. 

We did lack a presence on Instagram. When I asked my advisor about it she remembered there was an Instagram account created but nothing was posted on it since 2015. I decided that since our student body uses all three platforms it was time to bring back Instagram to try and reach as many people as possible.

In addition to running the Journalism social media pages, I also restarted social media efforts for the school DECA chapter and assist in creating social media posts as a part of my marketing internship with E&A Consulting Group, Inc.
